Description for Drafter/Detailer :
This position is responsible for providing drafting support for Assembly, Weldment and Piece Part Drawings. The position includes general support for daily engineering activities such as data entry for bills of material and operation/maintenance manuals review. 
 
Responsibilities for Drafter/Detailer:
 
  •         Create layout and detail drawings of various complexities using a variety of materials
  •         Use SolidWorks or AutoCad to create accurate drawings within the required time frame
  •         Create CAD templates as required
  •         Create SolidWorks templates as required
  •         Review Operations Manuals for accuracy of maintenance guidelines and spare parts list
  •         Maintain and update drawing files
  •         Offer creative input to solve engineering challenges
  •         Check fabrication package to ensure fit, form, and function
  •         Research technical issues, questions, and concerns as needed
  •         Follow procedures in company handbook and other documents
  •         Follow guidelines in department manuals
  •         Demonstrate a professional attitude when approaching work assignments
  •         Special projects as assigned
  •         Ability to communicate effectively with Cross Functional Teams within the organization as well as the ability to communicate effectively with customers
  •         Physical requirements of job will include lifting, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, etc.
  •         Ability to work at a computer workstation for long periods of time
  •         The ability to work in an office environment as well as a shop floor and/or construction site with varying environment conditions.  Ability to navigate safely in these
 
Requirements for Drafter/Detailer:
 
  • Requires two-year Drafting Degree from qualified institution
  • Two plus years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience in FDA, USDA, and OSHA a plus
  • Must have experience with 3D parametric design
