Travel: 100% travel Monday through Friday, home almost all weekends

Description for Field Service Technician:

The Field Service Technician is responsible for servicing heavy-duty equipment at customer locations throughout the United States. This role performs equipment delivery and in-service activities, repairs, troubleshooting, inspections, and preventative maintenance while also providing operator training at customer sites. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work independently in different environments, and the ability to diagnose hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and programming issues.

Responsibilities for Field Service Technician:

  • Perform in-service and delivery of new equipment at customer sites. 
  • Assist in the training of new operators at customer locations. 
  • Travel to customer locations to conduct repairs on heavy equipment involving hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, or programming issues. 
  • Perform inspections and conduct preventative maintenance services across all product lines. 
  • Troubleshoot various systems to determine the root cause of issues. 
  • Read and understand technical manuals and schematics. 
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and other personnel. 
  • Work effectively under pressure and meet time deadlines. 
  • Work independently and in different environments. 
  • Maintain and use basic hand tools required for standard heavy equipment repair. 

Requirements for Field Service Technician:

  • Mechanical aptitude. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a variety of people, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet time deadlines. 
  • Ability to work independently and in different environments. 
  • Required to own basic hand tools for standard heavy equipment repair. 
  • Willingness to travel up to 100% throughout the United States. 
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and programming issues. 
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
