Description of IT and ERP Solutions Manager:
The IT and ERP Solutions Manager will oversee our IT operations and manage our ERP system. They will be the vital link between our information systems’ (IS) capabilities and our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management, ERP systems, and a proven track record of leading successful IT projects. They will support and ensure the successful completion of analytical, building, testing, and deployment tasks of our software product’s features.
Responsibilities for IT and ERP Solutions Manager:
- Oversee the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring efficient and effective support for all IT systems and services.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage IT budgets, including cost control and resource allocation.
- Ensure the security of IT systems and data, implementing robust cybersecurity measures.
- Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Help design, document, and maintain system processes.
- Perform quality assurance and define reporting and alerting requirements.
- Manage IS projects and operations.
- Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations.
- Communicate key insights and findings.
- Look for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues, and deliver better value.
- Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the ERP system to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business processes.
- Collaborate with department heads and IT staff to identify system requirements, design solutions, and customize ERP functions to meet organizational needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues, providing technical support to end-users.
- Conduct regular system audits and updates to ensure the ERP system is up-to-date and functioning optimally.
- Train staff on ERP system usage and best practices.
- Leads all the projects from conception to completion related to new module implementations in ERP (including Third-party products) and support, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Drive prioritization and resolution of system issues and enhancement requests. Coordinate internal and external resources to define issues / opportunities, assess alternatives and implement solutions.
- Works across business teams and functions to define and develop customized reporting and dashboards to address critical business needs. Communicate with other departments to incorporate suggestions/decisions into business systems.
- Develop and maintain standard report repository and build ad-hoc sequel-based reports as required.
- Build departmental and executive dashboards to measure Business Intelligence (BI).
- Create and maintain company SOPs for employees to navigate and train in IS.
- Manage relationships with IT and ERP vendors and service providers, working to optimize and enhance our systems.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure cost-effective and high-quality services.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Experience managing people and projects, must have the ability to evaluate the team and requests taking place.
Requirements for IT and ERP Solutions Manager:
- A degree in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management and ERP systems.
- Ability to lead and manage IT operations effectively.
- Proven experience and strong understanding of ERP systems and management.
- Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing.
- Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools.
- Strong understanding of generating process documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
