Description for ITProject Manager:The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Responsibilities ITProject Manager:
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Clarify a client's system specifications, understand their work practices and the nature of their business
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Liaise with staff at all levels of a client organization
- Analyze IT requirements and give independent and objective advice on the use of IT
- Develop agreed solutions and implement new systems
- Present solutions in written or oral reports
- Design, test, install and monitor new systems
- Be involved in sales and support, and where appropriate, maintain contact with client organizations
- Identify potential clients and build and maintain contacts.
Requirements for IT Project Manager:
- Experience in creating and or leading a company project from concept to finish
- IT Infrastructure Project Management background
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
- 5-10 years in Project Management
- Cisco router/switches experience preferred
- Agile Certification is preferred
- Traditional IT infrastructure-customer code and point to pint integrations
