Description for Product Manager:
The Product Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of market strategy and plan for a portfolio of products within (a) given region(s) or segment(s). This person is involved through all stages of a product or portfolio’s lifecycle, including requirements, road mapping, and driving specific marketing and account execution to drive business success. This position involves close interaction with development leads, operations, customers: users and buyers, marketing communications and sales. A strong sense of ownership, initiative, and marketing understanding is required.
Responsibilities for Product Manager:
• Responsible for growing the revenue and profitability of all products in their regional portfolio
• Responsible for the development and implementation of their market strategy and plan
• Responsible for defining and segmenting their market(s)
• Responsible for defining the key persona’s and document their use case/user experiences and market problems
• Responsible for creating product strategy and requirements
• Responsible for documenting and understanding the competitive landscape as an input to strategy
• Collaborate with sales and marketing communications to develop sales enablement materials, launch new products, and execute market plans
• Provide technical assistance, training and leadership for regional marketing, sales, and our customers as a subject matter expert
• Responsible for overcoming complex business obstacles with minimal assistance
Requirements for Product Manager:
• BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering; MBA a plus
• Min 2 years as a Product Manager
• 3-5 years previous product management/product marketing experience
• Demonstrated marketing competency
• Pragmatic Marketing Certification a plus
• Strong leadership skills - must be able to build trust and set direction for the team, gain alignment with key stakeholders and drive commitments and results
• Must be curious, with a natural drive to learn and understand
• Must be a team player with the ability to develop strong working relationships and partnerships across different departments and with customers
• A strong business sense – person needs the ability to create product strategy from understanding market problems and opportunities
• Entrepreneurial drive to take ownership of a platform or regional segment and execution to achieve our growth goals
• Proven technical aptitude
