Description for the Sales Engineer:
The Sales Engineer position is responsible for supporting the sales team by interacting with customers, troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, developing new prospects, and maintaining existing accounts. We are the industry leader providing battery management solutions to the transportation industry. We have partnerships with Original Equipment Manufacturers, Fleets, Aftermarket Retail, and more.
Responsibilities for the Sales Engineer: 
  • Verify and root cause Customer issues by working through cross-functional groups – Engineering, Product 
  • Management, Project Management, Sales support
  • Develop thorough test plans for evaluating software 
  • Perform test plans on new software releases to ensure high quality software is delivered to customers
  • Manage technical and training aspects of Customer pilot programs and maintain project tracking documents
  • Assist customers with in-person acceptance testing for approval of software releases
  • Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical assistance and product education 
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert on all Midtronics solutions to support the Customer Service team as a tier 2 escalation point
  • Effectively document and communicate issues internally and externally 
  • Work with tools and Customer data to analyze trends, identify insights, and provide solutions
  • Support Sales and Marketing by attending tradeshows and customer events
  • Support sales team with new business development and seeking new business opportunities with existing customers
  • Record and maintain customer contact data
Qualifications for Hire Sales Engineer :
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Automotive Certification is preferred
  • years work experience in Sales, Customer Service, or Project Management preferably in an automotive environment 
  • Vehicle electrical systems and / or battery knowledge is a plus
  • Network connectivity skills – very familiar with addressing customer IT networking to successfully connect Midtronics equipment to customer networks, troubleshooting, tech support
  • Experience managing and analyzing data sets
  • Strong critical and creative thinking to identify and resolve issues with products
  • Ability to interact with customer personnel from lowest level up to corporate management
  • Basic to intermediate level understanding of Android architecture and operating system
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic with ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and take initiative
  • Must have a professional attitude, demonstrated ability to work with appropriate sense of urgency and drive for results, well organized with the ability to handle multiple assignments, and prioritize appropriately
  • Ability to travel 50% to support the customer and to support/develop new opportunities (currently no travel due to COVID-19)
