Description for Job Title:The Design Engineer is a critical member of the clients Capital Projects Group and will lead the development and design of our air pollution equipment product line offering including scrubbers, oxidizers, and other integrated systems. Responsibilities include product design, application support, improving the design process, new product development and supporting capital project execution.
Responsibilities for Job Title:
- Design new products and modification of existing offerings
- Provide application support for new sales opportunities
- Perform design calculations and runs to ensure system performance, including heat and mass balances and structural calculations
- Assist in failure analysis, including root cause identification and resolution
- Interface with client technical staff on project requirements and delivery
- Work with fabrication shops to ensure product quality
- Support field-technicians in commissioning and troubleshooting equipment
- Provide cost estimates and scope constraints for project bids
- Keep abreast of evolving technology and continuously pursue quality improvement of product offering.
- Development and execution of equipment design process
Requirements for Job Title:
- Proficient experience designing thermal oxidizers
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD (or equivalent) & ability to create 2D drawings
- Familiarity with standard sheet metal and steel fabrication practices
- Good communication, problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
- Ability to work on teams and in a collaborative environment
- Self-motivated and ability to achieve results with minimal supervision
- Detail oriented and organized
- Microsoft Office proficiency
