Description for Test Engineer:
The Test Engineer is responsible for working with software engineers to perform manual and automated testing of medical imaging software. This person will develop test requirements, write test scripts and protocols, and perform verification and validation of software products.
Responsibilities for Test Engineer:
- Work with developers and/or program manager to troubleshoot failures or triage to the appropriate level
- Develop and execute system integration and test functional testing and development test and evaluation testing toward the verification of software and system level requirements
- Installation and configuration of Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Create image-based backups and clones
- Manage task assignments and track project status
- Execute automated/manual test procedures and regression tests, capture appropriate test artifacts, identify problems and document results via defect reports
- Track test execution and reporting issues
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements for Test Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or 5+ years in a similar role
- 3-5+ years of software testing experience
- MRI technology (Dicom), medicine, or life sciences background preferred
- Experience with automated platforms such as Test Complete preferred
- Experience refining test platforms and processes to reduce time and cost
- Strong attention to detail
