Description for Industrial Engineer:
This Industrial engineer will be supplementing their expertise to support customers’ needs. The main role would be to work with their clients to help expand production and optimize processes in manufacturing, med device, food, logistics etc.
This candidate will also conduct design layouts and the labor requirements. They will develop material storage area layouts and perform the related data analysis. Have a big picture approach to client projects using and analyzing (plan for every part) PFEP Data.
Responsibilities for Industrial Engineer:
1. Develop material handling processes, the related layouts, and the labor requirements.
2. Develop material storage area layouts and perform the related data analysis.
3. Develop 2D AutoCAD layouts to optimize storage space and workstation requirements.
4. Follow-up and achieve buy-off on concepts, layouts.
5. Develop facilities requirements.
6. Oversee implementation and provide plant support.
7. Travel to client sites 1.5 weeks every 2 mths.
Requirements for Industrial Engineer:
· Must have 2 or more years of industrial/manufacturing engineering experience.
· Knowledgeable in material systems, material planning, and analyzing PFEP data.
· Knowledge of warehouse space optimization strategies.
· Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
· Must know 2D AutoCAD; Microsoft Access knowledge is (preferred).
· Must be a team player, pro-active and be able to perform under limited supervision.
· Must have strong analytical skills.
· Must have strong written and oral skills.
· Value stream mapping, material flow, kaizen, lean manufacturing, work instructions, six sigma (preferred)
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
