Beat the Streets – Chicago Wrestling

Making At-Risk Chicago Kids Champions in Wrestling and in Life

180 Engineering believes in changing the world by changing lives—one engineering candidate at a time and now one at-risk Chicago child at a time. Will you join us?

Beat the Streets (BTS) is a youth development program designed to change the lives of at-risk kids. Here in Chicago, they strive to make quality wrestling accessible to all youth, in all neighborhoods, providing positive coaching, and mentoring and enrichment. BTS is creating life champions.

As both a youth wrestler and a Masters level USA National Champ, Joe applied the lessons he learned wrestling to establish 180 Engineering’s company values of integrity, ownership, intelligence, resilience, and scrappiness. With Beat the Streets defining their core values as accountability, gratitude, grit, integrity, and excellence, 180 Engineering and Beat the Streets are in perfect symmetry!

180 Engineering has committed to raising $200,000 of the funds needed for the new Beat the Streets facility on Chicago’s South Side.

The $200,000 raised by the 180 Engineering campaign will be used to fund the build-out of the Beat the Street’s Enrichment Room—the hub for academic and life-preparedness programming—providing support to help kids excel in school and in life. It’s exciting to think about how many kids we might inspire to pursue careers in engineering, IT, and other dynamic professions.
