Description for Maintenance Manager:
Lead and coordinate activities of employees engaged in the maintenance of complex metal manufacturing equipment, including casting, rolling, annealing, and slitting. Champion a reliability culture leveraging our safe, skilled, and engaged workforce. Utilize data driven systems, supported by technology and continuous improvement methods, to work as a strategic and tactical partner.
Responsibilities for Maintenance Manager:
- Lead the maintenance team efforts to identify and eliminate safety risks through the engagement of employees.
- Foster an improvement culture in the maintenance team to drive improved ownership and performance of plant equipment.
- Set standards and expectations for daily improvements to processes and performance.
- Coach and mentor team to build and maintain the right habits to sustain success.
- Develop and implement a skills matrix with human resources that will drive a training and succession plan.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve operating efficiencies through utilization of lean methodologies.
Requirements for Mechanical Project Engineer:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (will consider others).
- At least 6+ years of managerial experience
- Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance practices using reliability tools such as Pareto analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
- Ability to communicate and make decisions, adapt to cultural change, and work within a diverse environment. Requires skills to manage conflict, coach, and mentor.
- Experience as a "strategic" leader as well as a "tactical" leader. Proven ability to develop and manage large budgets.
- CMMS experience required.
- CMRP certification a plus.
- SAP experience a plus.
- Experience in a union environment implementing change initiatives is a plus.
