Description for Sr. Industrial Engineer:
This Sr. Industrial engineer will be working with a team of 5-7 engineers to mentor, guide, and lead the team. This candidate will work with our client’s non-traditional customers who need the extra headcount for a plant or tech update. This IE will be supplementing their expertise to support customer’s needs. The main role would be to work with their clients to help expand production and optimize processes in manufacturing, med device, food, logistics etc.
This candidate will also conduct design layouts and the labor requirements. They will develop material storage area layouts and perform the related data analysis. Have a big picture approach to client projects using and analyzing (plan for every part) PFEP Data.
Responsibilities for Sr. Industrial Engineer:
- Develop material handling processes, the related layouts, and the labor requirements.
- Develop material storage area layouts and perform the related data analysis.
- Develop 2D AutoCAD layouts to optimize storage space and workstation requirements.
- Follow-up and achieve buy-off on concepts, layouts.
- Develop facilities requirements.
- Travel to client sites 1.5 weeks every 2 mths.
- Oversee implementation and provide plant support.
Requirements for Sr. Industrial Engineer:
- Must have 8 or more years of industrial/manufacturing engineering experience.
- Project management experience (preferred).
- Knowledgeable in material systems, material planning, and analyzing PFEP data.
- Knowledge of warehouse space optimization strategies.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
- Microsoft Office (8 years).
- Excell & PowerPoint
- Microsoft Access (preferred)
- Must know 2D AutoCAD; (8yrs experience)
- Must be a team player, pro-active and be able to perform under limited supervision.
- Must have strong analytical skills.
- Must have strong leadership skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing
