Description for Sales Engineer:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Remote Sales Engineer to drive sales across the West or East Coast markets, focusing on the municipal and industrial sectors. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting our products, managing the entire sales cycle, and delivering tailored solutions to clients.
Responsibilities forSales Engineer:
- Technical Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our centrifugal pumps and water booster stations, and effectively communicate their applications and benefits to municipal and industrial clients.
- Sales Strategy: Create and implement sales strategies to expand market share and meet revenue targets within the assigned region.
- Lead Management: Proactively follow up on leads and inquiries, nurturing relationships with prospective clients to convert opportunities into sales.
- Quotation Management: Prepare and manage quotations, ensuring accuracy in pricing, technical specifications, and delivery timelines.
- Bidding Process: Oversee the preparation and submission of bids for municipal and industrial projects, managing all aspects of the bidding process from start to finish.
- Client Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with municipal agencies, industrial clients, contractors, and distributors, focusing on long-term partnerships.
- Solution-Based Selling: Work closely with clients to understand their technical needs and provide customized product solutions.
- Remote Support: Provide technical support and guidance to customers remotely, assisting with product selection, troubleshooting, and application-specific questions.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and competitors to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and provide insights on market feedback and customer requirements for management review.
Requirements forSales Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proven experience in a Sales Engineer or technical sales role, preferably within the industrial pump or water management industries.
- Strong technical understanding of centrifugal pumps, water booster stations, or related products.
- Experience managing quotations, following up on leads, and handling bidding processes for large projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams while managing customer relationships.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed for client meetings and industry events.
