Description for Manufacturing Engineer:
The Manufacturing Engineering will play a crucial role in optimizing our client’s manufacturing processes, enhancing product quality, and driving operational efficiency for their SMT manual and automated assembly lines. You will coach, train, and mentor other manufacturing team members on lean manufacturing methodologies.
Responsibilities for Manufacturing Engineer:
- ProcessImprovement: Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste and enhance product quality.
- SMTLineOversight: Work alongside the manufacturing team to ensure optimal performance and address any technical issues that arise.
- AssemblyOptimization:Develop and implement jigs, fixtures and tools to improve manual assembly processes. Incorporate some level of automation where feasible.
- QualityAssurance:Collaborate with quality management to ensure all products meet stringent quality standards and product approval requirements.
- EquipmentCalibration&Maintenance:Ensure all manufacturing equipment is properly maintained and operational.
- ProjectManagement: Lead and participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving manufacturing capabilities and introducing new products to manufacturing.
- DataAnalysis:Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor production metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Training&Development: Provide training and support to production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Requirements for Manufacturing Engineer:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineering, preferably in the electronics or instrumentation industry
- Strong understanding of SMT processes and equipment
- Experience with manual assembly lines and automating processes
- Experience of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver new products or projects on time and within budget
