This is a newly created Engineering Project Coordinator (electrical focused) position with an attractive private co. near Oostburg, WI that designs and manufactures food packaging equipment and has earned Best Employer of the Year for the past 3 years from The Milwaukee Sentinel.
You will be supporting the tasks of the new Project Management Office/PMO by taking on various activities to alleviate various engineering project backlog issues to help engineering meet customer expectations for delivery, working closely with 3+ Project Managers. We are willing to train an EE (this is a preferred skill set) who is organized and driven to move projects along under direction using your electrical skill set.

Qualifications
BS or AS in electrical or related (open to a new EE graduate)
PLC and /or HMI programming experience
Solid communication skills to effectively communicate with electrical designers and other engineers bottlenecks and work through project issues.
Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Help implement control program additions for electrical components to ensure the proper function of PLCs, HMIs, motion control, and message displays.
- Create electrical component schematic designs, panel layouts, and bills of materials (BOMs) for assigned smaller projects, assist project leaders with larger projects.
- Assist during machine testing and troubleshooting to ensure the certification of packaging equipment for customer acceptance.
- Learn the design and layout of electrical components and systems for packaging equipment.
- Learn existing control programs for understanding to enable improved service support.
- Effectively communicate electrical design with intent to customers and other departments, ensuring fulfillment of requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve conflicts, address issues, and incorporate suggestions into electrical designs
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting electrical wiring.
- Support and retrofits, coordinating assembly operations during equipment construction.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent training and experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills to effectively convey design concepts.
- Ability to effectively utilize complex software for design, problem solving, and documentation.
Preferable Skills
- Ability to use PLC and motion control software, such as Logix 5000, Siemens TIA Step 7.
- PLC programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Java
- Familiarity with Eplan and or AutoCAD
- Possess understanding of packaging, automation or other related machines
