Description for Senior Technical Support Analyst:

Provides technical support to users and customers for computers, telephones, systems, software, databases, printers, network and other devices maintained by the Information Technology department.  

Responsibilities for Senior Technical Support Analyst:

  • Provides technical support while maintaining a positive and professional rapport with end users 
  • Supports desktops and laptops including break/fix, image creation/deployments, maintenance, anti-virus, security, documentation and hardware/software inventory
  • Supports a wide variety of devices such as computers, laptops, printers, handheld scanners, document scanners, networking  equipment, security, telephones, projectors and other technical devices used with within the organization
  • Supports a wide variety of software applications such as Microsoft Office, LibreOffice, Windows desktop and server OS’s, Antivirus software, backup software, databases, security software, ERP, MES, Accounting software and other software used within the organization 
  • Takes ownership of issues and carries them through to completion
  • Documents all aspects of the role including, support issues, implementations, system builds…
  • Assists in maintaining inventory for Information Technology equipment, supplies and consumables.
  • Assists in security patching and maintenance of supported devices and software 
  • Assists in maintenance/support of security and phone systems
  • Assists in computer systems backups
  • Assists with software deployments
  • Assists with GPO development
  • Assists with basic scripting as needed
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area 
  • May provide oncall and/or after hours support

Requirements for Senior Technical Support Analyst: 

  • 2-year technical degree and/or appropriate certifications such as A+, Network +, MCP, MOS, MCSA/E (or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or job experience)
  • At least 2 years of related experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Up-to-date computer hardware proficiency with strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows, anti-virus software…
  • Excellent critical thinking and logical troubleshooting skills
