CMM Programmer(Contract)

Description for Job Title:
We are seeking a Contract CMM Programmer to join our team in Lake Zurich, IL. This hands-on role is ideal for a CMM expert with at least 5 years of experience, capable of setting up, programming, and operating Zeiss CMM systems to inspect components and finished goods in a high-precision environment.
Requirements for the CMM Programmer:
- Strong experience with Zeiss CMMs and Calypso programming
- Uses trigonometry tables to calculate dimensions.
- Discusses with Engineering areas requiring process improvements.
- Makes determinations as to which parts require a CMM program.
- Makes determinations as to which dimensions require CMM inspection.
- Work closely with Engineering and Production control to determine priorities.
- Develop and write procedures in regard to CMMs.
- Verify Models developed in house.
- Assist with day to day functions in the Q.C. Lab as it pertains CMMs.
- Develop inspection plans as needed.
Qualifications for CMM Programmer:
- 3+ years of experience as a CMM Programmer
- Strong experience with Zeiss CMMs and Calypso programming
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Knowledge of machine tools and processes.
- Knowledge of CAD based systems.
- Able to work with 3D models business
- Variety of experience with parts, products and companies
- Being on a small team and self-manage
