Annual Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 plus 15% bonus. 

Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.

Descriptionfor Supply Chain Manager:

Responsible for the purchasing agenda 3 North American plants. Direct involvement with manufacturing and material requirements to ensure consistent flow of materials to support production. Consolidate spend for all LOBs across the region to leverage volume and performance with our Preferred Vendors while strategically sourcing new vendors. Improve overall performance of the contract manufacturing supply base (Cost, Quality and Delivery Performance).

 

Responsibilitiesfor Supply Chain Manager:

  • Managing the Purchasing Team: Reviewing priorities and performance of purchasing team and training new and existing employees in the purchasing process and system.
  • Sourcing and Procurement: Managing the full procurement cycle, from initial sourcing to final purchase order placement. Spearhead Strategic Sourcing initiatives.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Cost Optimization: Analyzing cost trends and identifying opportunities for cost reduction. Implementing strategies to minimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with internal stakeholders, such as production, engineering, inside sales and finance, to understand their needs and prioritize purchases.
  • Market Research: Conducting research to stay informed about market trends, new products, and potential suppliers.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Working with suppliers to promote sustainable sourcing practices and reduce the environmental impact of the supply chain.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing improvements to the supply chain process.

 

Specific tasksSupply Chain Manager:

  • Define the contract manufacturing compliance requirements & ensure partners meet or exceed these requirements.
  • Implementation and further development of the contract manufacturing sourcing strategy.
  • Define the outsourcing target and best practice for North America.
  • Issuing Requests for Quotations (RFQs), analyzing proposals, and negotiating pricing and delivery terms.
  • Scorecard vendors to ensure quality and delivery performances meet or exceed our standards with a development plan for subpar vendors to quickly meet standards or be replaced.
  • Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
  • Monitoring supplier performance, including lead times, quality, and compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Negotiating favorable pricing and payment terms with suppliers.
  • Identifying and addressing any issues or potential disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Working with internal stakeholders to forecast material needs and ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • Utilizing ERP systems and procurement software to streamline operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Communicating effectively with suppliers and internal teams regarding material availability and supply issues.

 

Requirementsfor Supply Chain Manager:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, or similar
  • 5+ years of Purchasing experience
  • 2+ years managing a purchasing, supply chain, or similar team
  • Strong skills in Strategic Sourcing and negotiation
  • Experience related to raw materials, mechanical parts, electrical parts, components and similar within robust industrial equipment preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Office; CRM Software, Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
    • Key User in AX system – help train Purchasing Team on this system
  • Licenses: Active CPM or CPIM, CSPC or related certification preferred
