Description for Jr. Controls Engineer:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Controls Engineer to join our engineering team. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with hands-on experience in controls engineering through internships or work experience. The Junior Controls Engineer will support the design, development, programming, and troubleshooting of control systems for industrial automation projects.
Responsibilities forJr. Controls Engineer:
- Assist in the design, programming, and implementation of PLC - and HMI-based control systems.
- Develop and modify control logic using PLC programming software such as RSLogix, Studio 5000, or equivalent platforms.
- Review and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to support control system integration.
- Support troubleshooting and debugging of control systems during commissioning and production.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure system functionality, safety, and efficiency.
- Document system configurations, test procedures, and revisions in accordance with company standards.
- Provide technical support for maintenance and operations teams as needed.
Requirements forJr. Controls Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (internships acceptable).
- Experience with PLC and/or HMI programming.
- Familiarity with PLC programming software such as RSLogix, Studio 5000, or similar.
- Understanding of electrical schematics and industrial control systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
