Description for Quality Analyst:

The Quality Analyst/ISO Coordinator ensures products meet quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. They act as the go-to person for resolving quality issues, both internally and with customers, and lead investigations into defects or non-conformances. This role drives continuous improvement, ensures adherence to quality systems like ISO 9001:2015, and provides technical guidance and training to teams on proper measurement and testing methods. The position balances hands-on problem-solving, data analysis, and collaboration with internal teams and customers to prevent recurring issues and maintain high product and process standards.

Responsibilities for Quality Analyst:

  • Lead problem-solving and quality system support for assigned departments.
  • Define critical-to-quality (CTQ) characteristics based on process performance.
  • Manage significant customer-reported issues (CAPAs, PPAPs, APQPs).
  • Oversee root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances.
  • Act as subject matter expert for the quality management system and hold action owners accountable.
  • Collaborate with management and customers to resolve quality issues.
  • Work with Process and Product Engineering on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Compile and report data for metrics and project updates.
  • Maintain ISO 9001:2015 system documentation; schedule and lead audits.
  • Coordinate calibration programs for measurement and test equipment.

Requirements for Quality Analyst:

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts (probability, statistics, trigonometry, solid geometry).
  • Strong problem-solving, creative decision-making, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to adjust priorities quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
  • Professional and respectful written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

 

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (assembly, HVAC, stamping, welding, brazing, metal fabrication, electric motors).
  • Experience with quality management systems (e.g., QT9) and ERP systems (SAP, Syteline).
  • Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).
  • Auditor experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T), methods, work instructions, and quality plans.
  • ASQ or Six Sigma certifications.
  • Experience in ISO-regulated, heavy manufacturing environments with tight tolerances.
  • Experience with CMMs, FARO/Hexagon Arms, Keyence, Micro-Vu equipment.
  • Experience with statistical process capability and gage R&R.
