Annual Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 base salary. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.

Summary for Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer II reports to the Engineering Manager for the Data Center colocation sub-vertical. As an Electrical Engineer II, you will take ownership of portions of the electrical system design for advanced data center cooling equipment. 

Responsibilities for Electrical Engineer 

  • Develop, edit, and maintain complex electrical design systems and documentation.
  • Lead design efforts on subsystems, including component selection and layout.
  • Coordinate panel build and wiring activities for both protype and production units.
  • Interface cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive design feasibility and efficiency.
  • Create and maintain structured configurable Super BOMs to ensure accurate part selection and system configuration.
  • Support controls and electrical troubleshooting during prototyping and testing.
  • Apply working knowledge of AC drives, power distribution, switchgear, sensors, and transducers to design activities. 
  • Stay abreast of new developments in electrical design and apply that knowledge towards the technical enhancement of our machinery and processes.

Requirements for Electrical Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. 
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical design for industrial systems.
  • Proficiency with electrical CAD. AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a product development environment.
  • Knowledge and application of applicable electrical codes; NEC, UL (UL1995, UL60335, UL508A), IEC and CE.
  • Well versed in MS Office Excel, Word, Power-Point, etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Must be able to travel (0-15%).
