Description for CMM Programmer:
Seeking a Contract CMM Programmer / Dimensional Technician to join a team in Attleboro, MA. This hands-on role is ideal for a CMM expert with at least 5 years of experience, capable of setting up, programming, and operating Mitutoyo CMM systems to inspect medium-sized components and finished goods. Candidates must have a strong grasp of GD&T, mechanical drawings, and Excel-based reporting to ensure precision, quality, and throughput on the manufacturing floor.
Responsibilities for CMM Programmer:
- Develop and execute CMM programs using Mitutoyo CMM systems (touch probe, vision, etc.)
- Interpret mechanical drawings and apply GD&T principles to ensure accurate measurements
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain CMM equipment for medium-sized parts
- Perform dimensional inspections of components and finished goods
- Ensure balance between precision and throughput
- Generate detailed inspection reports in Excel
- Include statistical process control (SPC) metrics
- Troubleshoot inspection issues and adjust programs accordingly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
- Quality
- Engineering
- Manufacturing
Requirements for CMM Programmer:
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on CMM programming experience
- Strong background with Mitutoyo equipment
- Expert-level knowledge in GD&T and mechanical drawing interpretation
- Proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Set up, debug, and run dimensional inspections independently
- Work effectively across departments
- Experience working in regulated or high-precision manufacturing environments preferred

- Experience specifically with medium-sized mechanical components
