Description for CNC Technician:
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Technician to support our machining operations. This role will focus on programming, setup, and operation of CNC equipment, specifically utilizing Haas 5-axis milling machines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience programming in G-code and M-code and working in a CNC machining environment.
Responsibilities for CNC Technician:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC equipment with an emphasis on Haas 5-axis milling machines.
- Write and edit G-code and M-code programs to meet tight tolerance requirements.
- Operate CNC equipment to ensure production timelines are met.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to ensure part accuracy.
- Conduct and collaborate with engineering for tool setup, fixture setup, and machine calibration.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, adjusting programs and processes as necessary.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
Requirements for CNC Technician:
- Proven experience programming CNC machines with G-code and M-code.
- Hands-on experience operating 5-axis milling equipment, preferably Haas.
- Strong background working in a CNC machining shop or similar manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
- Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
