Description for Electrical Engineer III:The Electrical Engineer III plays a central role in driving product development across the full lifecycle, partnering closely with cross functional engineering teams, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to deliver robust electrical designs. This position contributes to the development of complex systems including RF architecture, PCBAs, and interconnects while ensuring alignment with quality and regulatory standards. The role provides technical leadership by guiding design efforts, resolving engineering challenges, and supporting multiple projects simultaneously, while also mentoring team members and strengthening overall engineering capabilities. It works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure products meet performance, manufacturability, and service requirements, and leads problem solving and continuous improvement efforts for both new and existing products. Additionally, the engineer collaborates with suppliers to understand capabilities and troubleshoot issues, directs technicians during product development and qualification, and serves as a subject matter expert within the organization.
Responsibilities for Electrical Engineer III:
- Lead collaboration with cross functional engineering teams, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to drive product design across the full product lifecycle
- Support the Electrical Engineering Supervisor in team development, planning, and growth initiatives
- Develop electrical products including RF architecture, PCBAs, and interconnects while ensuring compliance with quality management standards
- Create and maintain design documentation, risk assessments, and development plans
- Provide technical leadership to identify, define, and resolve engineering, design, and development issues across multiple projects
- Mentor and support team members through reviews, coaching, and skill development efforts
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure designs meet performance, manufacturability, and service requirements
- Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives for both new development and existing products
- Communicate with suppliers to understand capabilities, processes, requirements, and support troubleshooting efforts
- Guide technicians and testers during product development, testing, and qualification activities
- Serve as a subject matter expert within the engineering team based on established competencies
- Support additional engineering and organizational responsibilities as needed
Requirements for Electrical Engineer III:
- Experience leading electrical design efforts across full product lifecycle
- Strong background in RF architecture, PCBAs, and interconnect design
- Ability to drive technical problem solving and resolve design and development issues
- Experience working cross functionally with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers
- Knowledge of electromagnetic field theory and MR physics
- Experience with simulation tools such as SPICE, Matlab, and HFSS
- Hands on experience with lab equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
- Ability to support design documentation, risk assessment, and quality driven development processes
- Experience guiding technicians and supporting product development and validation efforts
Nice to Have:
- Experience in medical device or regulated industry environments
- Familiarity with MR scanners or NMR spectrometers
- Experience working within quality management systems such as eQMS
- Exposure to ERP systems and CAD tools
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior engineers
- Background contributing to continuous improvement initiatives on mature products
