Annual Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000 plus discretionary bonus. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:
- Provide comprehensive electrical engineering support for new equipment installations, including PLC logic development and electrical schematic creation.
- present on the factory floor to diagnose issues firsthand,
- Troubleshoot, modify, and upgrade legacy control systems to modern platforms.
- Manage and provide daily technical direction to the Electrical Assistant to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Act as a technical bridge between the maintenance department and the engineering team to minimize downtime through advanced troubleshooting.
- Strategize, plan, and execute mid-to-long-term electrical and control system replacement projects for the aging facility.
- Respect the established processes of a long-standing facility while proactively proposing modernizations (e.g., IoT, data integration).
REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:
- 4 year Bachelors degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience with PLC/HMI programming (specifically the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation platform).
- Knowledge of hygienic design and food safety regulations (FDA/FSMA) regarding electrical infrastructure
- Proficiency in designing industrial control panels, power distribution systems, and motor control circuits.
- Deep understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace).
- Familiarity with electrical installations in "wash-down" environments preferred
- Experience in drafting technical specifications (Scope of Work) and supervising external contractors and system integrators.
- A "safety-first" mentality, leading by example in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical hazard prevention
