Description for Electrical Project Engineer:
The Electrical Project Engineer will support an interdisciplinary team to integrate new equipment (machines) into US-based locations. The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for the electrical system specifications, maintaining control of electrical project expenditures to avoid cost overruns, supervising contractors, and vendors, and managing project schedules. As part of the project team, you will drive conceptual solutions for our production processes and care for its implementation to meet project goals. Sustainability and safety are essential components for all our plant concepts.
Responsibilities for Electrical Project Engineer:
- Handle all electrical specifications of projects from concept to completion
- Maintain project schedule, control electrical expenditures
- Ensuring the system design and final implementation meets the project goals
- Safety analysis, electrical safety design and safety chains
- Full electrical integration of new machines to existing structures
Requirements for Electrical Project Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related technical degree
- 3-5 years related job experience.
- Strong electrical, electronic, PLC, and process automation skills on complex manufacturing equipment
- Familiarity with OSHA and electrical safety codes (NFPA, UL, IEC)
- Expertise in the following is beneficial: EPLAN 2D, Siemens & AB PLC’s, IBA, SAP, Office Suite, Project Management
- Siemens Step7 - WinCC programming experience preferred.
- RsLogix - FactoryTalk programming experience necessary.
- AC/DC Variable Frequency Drives – ABB, Siemens, Toshiba etc.
- Strong organizational & communicational skills to support and guide interdisciplinary project teams.
