Field Technician (Contract-to-Hire)

Hourly Pay Range: [$20-22.00/hr.] Individual rates are based on experience, education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
Job Description for Field Technician:
The Field Technician willreceive immersive training while traveling extensively to customer sites. In this role, the Field Tech. will learn to perform specialized chemical cleaning and passivation on fluid and gas systems that support mission-critical operations.
Responsibilities for Field Technician:
- Set up and operate specialized equipment for cleaning and passivation of vessels and piping
- Work with hazardous chemicals such as citric acid and caustics in a safe and compliant manner
- Handle chemical processes safely using PPE and according to company protocol
- Load and unload equipment and chemicals for each project
- Drive company vehicles to customer job sites (trucks, vans, forklift, etc.)
- Perform physical work in diverse environments including indoors, outdoors, rooftops, and industrial sites
- Maintain organized, clean workspaces in alignment with 5S / CEO (Clean, Efficient,Organized) standards
- Complete OSHA and company safety training and follow all safety procedures
- Travel extensively—80%+ by land or air (overnight travel required) including holidays, weekends, and short notice call-ins with 30–50% night shifts.
- Two weeks of paid training in California within first 3 weeks of employment
Requirements for Field Technician:
Must-Haves
- Mechanically inclined and accustomed to working in an industrial setting/job site
- Must be able to travel extensively 80%+, work night shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays
- Strong math skills including ratios and percentages
- Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Comfortable with mobile technology and basic programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid Class “C” driver’s license with clean driving record
- Real ID or Passport required for air travel at start of employment
- Medical DOT certificate
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in required PPE in changing environments
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen
Preferred for a Field Technician:
- Experience in HVAC and or pipefitting
- Technical experience or schooling (AA degree or trade certification)
- OSHA, HAZWOPER, or confined space certifications
- Experience with hazardous chemical handling or field service work
