Annual Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 plus bonus. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
Summary for Master Scheduler
The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining the master production schedule to ensure efficient use of resources and timely delivery of products. This role involves overseeing inventory levels, implementing process improvements, and coordinating communication between various departments. The Master Scheduler will generate and analyze reports on production performance and parts availability, providing regular updates to management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities for Master Scheduler
Production Planning and Scheduling
- Develop and maintain the master production schedule to ensure efficient use of resources and timely delivery of products.
- Coordinate with various departments to gather information on production capabilities, inventory levels, and customer demand.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or production issues.
Reporting and Analysis
- Generate and analyze reports on production performance, capacity, and other key metrics.
- Provide regular updates to management on production status and potential issues.
- Use data analysis to identify trends and make informed decisions on production planning.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes.
- Conduct reviews of production processes and make recommendations for improvements.
Communication and Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for production scheduling and project management.
- Communicate production schedules and changes to relevant departments and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
Inventory Management
- Work with purchasing to ensure that materials and products are available when needed.
- Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to manage inventory flow and storage.
Qualifications for Master Scheduler
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management, specifically within an assembly environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in production planning software and tools.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
