Annual Salary Range: $110,000 - $135,000 base salary. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.

Summary for Product Engineering Supervisor
The Product Engineering Supervisor reports to the Engineering Manager for the Data Center colocation group. She/he works within the Data Center group to design, develop, and document water chiller product designs within the scope of products manufactured by the Data Center team. This position will be responsible for leading the design of assigned air cooled chiller designs whilst managing a small team of multi-disciplined engineers.
Responsibilities for Product Engineering Supervisor
- Evaluates and designs electromechanical products by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer and materials
- Manage finite element modeling and structural simulation for the products. Interpret FEA results and recommend design changes/directions to meet product performance requirements.
- Lead the design & development of new Chiller products or modify existing to meet customer requirements and create supporting documentation based on project scope, market needs and regulatory requirements for the Data Center Vertical.
- Lead, mentor and coach a team of multi-disciplined engineers in conjunction with clear goals and performance evaluations.
- Support customer applications with heat transfer, energy and/or chiller system designs.
- Review of approval and manufacturing drawing packages.
Requirements for Product Engineering Supervisor
- Strong background in Chiller Engineering
- Knowledge of Thermodynamics and Fluid dynamics of Chillers
- Excellent understanding of the vapor compression cycle, PH diagram and psychometrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a related engineering field.
- 10-15+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Prior experience with refrigeration and HVAC system design.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Understanding of compliance requirements for refrigeration and HVAC systems is a plus.
- Experience with FEA/CFD software.
- Working knowledge of CAD, preferably Solid Works or Creo would be advantageous.
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external personnel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills with outstanding attention to detail
