Hourly Pay Range: $48.07 – $60.10. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
Description for Sr. Process Engineer:
The Senior Process Engineer will provide technical leadership in development and execution of Capital Projects from feasibility to construction and start-up, however, focusing on the latter. The person in this role will serve as the key technical resource to support plant optimization efforts regarding safety, capacity, cost, quality, and environmental improvements.
Responsibilities for Sr. Process Engineer:
- Serve as process engineer on capital project teams
- Use Front End Loading define and scope projects, evaluating process engineering alternatives based on technical feasibility and economics
- Lead development of technical deliverables on key capital projects to ensure safe, workable, cost effective solutions are being developed that will meet the defined business/project objectives. This includes:
- Process/Engineering Flow Diagrams
- Material and Energy Balances (M&EB's)
- Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's)
- Scope document reports
- Process requirements of new equipment/instruments
- Provide process engineering leadership supporting plant operations during commissioning and start-up
- Participate on plant optimization teams to identify opportunities for improvements in cost, capacity, environmental and safety issues
- Actively participate and contribute in all safety programs to continually improve the safety culture of the Company
- Effectively demonstrates ability to deliver on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision
- Identify and solve problems and enable successful projects
- Partnering with Project Manager and plant representative(s) to build a cohesive project
Requirements for Sr. Process Engineer:
- BS Chemical Engineering is required
- Minimum of 7 years of experience is required.
- Experience in Chemical and related industries is required
- Experience serving as the process engineering lead on capital projects, guiding initiatives from feasibility through construction and start-up.
- Experience with Front End Loading [FEL] and its application in capital projects
- Experience leading plant commissioning and optimization efforts, driving improvements in cost, capacity, safety, and environmental efficiency
- Strong expertise in process design, including distillation, mass transfer, reaction kinetics, and thermodynamics.
- Experience with a variety of chemical processing capital equipment and machinery such as reactors, chillers, pumps, piping, compressors, distillation columns, steam drums, and steam generators.
- Familiarity with Process Safety Management [PSM]
- Experience working with external engineering resources - prioritizing/delegating work and driving accountability/productivity is desired
