The Challenge

A global manufacturer of heavy machinery was in process of a major Windows Server upgrade when the deadline for the project was moved up suddenly by senior leadership. This change left the IT director severely shorthanded for the project and in need of several systems engineers. With a pressing deadline, there was little time to wait for applicants from his employer’s jobs postings and internal talent acquisition staff.

The Solution

After meeting with the hiring manager about his need for several contract systems engineers, the recruitment team was able to design a plan to rapidly source multiple systems engineering professionals who had experience in large scale Window Server upgrades and were familiar with server architecture and the technologies involved.

I had a wonderful experience working with 180 Engineering, specifically with Dana Straple. The position was a government job in the IT dept. Dana reached out to me to with the job description and mentioned that my experience would be a good fit. She got me an interview with the hiring managers and the decision makers. Each step of the way, she was in constant communication as to what was going on and what the decision makers were thinking. Due to the nature of some/most or at least this specific government position, the hiring process took about 6-8weeks.
