The COVID-19 pandemic created unique challenges for the recruitment field. As companies enforced hiring freezes, shifted priorities, and adapted their hiring processes over the course of 2020, recruiting firms had to adjust their sails while they too navigated new realities, including remote work. 180 Engineering expertly weathered the storm.

For the fifth year, 180 Engineering claimed a spot on Forbes’ America’s Best Professional Recruiting Firms list. A talent acquisition firm that works exclusively to fill engineering and IT roles, 180 Engineering also held onto its ranking as one of the top specialized engineering recruiting firms on the list.

Only 250 firms were placed on Forbes’ list, out of more than 5,400 evaluated. Forbes partnered with Statista, an independent market research institute, to determine the rankings. Statista sifted through more than 26,000 nominations, which were garnered by extending invitations to over 31,000 external recruiters and 7,200 job candidates and human resources professionals. Its final list of 250 top professional recruiting firms was determined by an in-depth review of the participant responses as well as a careful examination of each of the firms, including a cross-check of each firm’s service offers, office location, relevant company information, and the firm’s results in last year’s survey.

Out of the final selection of 250 firms, 180 Engineering was ranked as #44 on Forbes’ 2021 America’s Best Professional Recruiting Firms list. That ranking solidifies the company as one of the top recruitment firms in America that specializes in the engineering sector.

Joe Coletta, the CEO of 180 Engineering, was humbled by the award. Recognizing the unique challenges that 2020 placed on all of us, Coletta issued a statement saying, “The best way that I can respond to receiving this award once again is with a single word: gratitude. I am grateful to our clients and candidates for sharing their positive experiences, and grateful to our dedicated workforce that pushed through this most unique year by staying committed to our mission.”
